And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: (Acts 2:17-18)
I recently posted about this on LDS Freedom Forum (LDSFF), and felt strongly that I needed to write about it here. I did not even realize the significance of it myself until a fellow member of LDSFF posted the scripture above in response to the accounts I’m about to give.
I testify that this prophecy spoken by Peter who recounted the words of the prophet Joel, is coming to pass. I am seeing this in my own home and by the words and actions of my own son. I am seeing this little boy God has blessed me with, act as a prophet, seer, and revelator. I realize that referring to my son in that light may seem a brazen assertion, but here is why I’m willing to make it:
Many of you who know me, know that my little boy – age 8 1/2, has Down’s Syndrome (DS). He struggles with communication, is behind in comprehension and several of the other areas where kids with DS struggle. Overall though, he’s quite high-functioning.
He’s always been very open about things he sees spiritually. Since he was a baby, he has seen beings from beyond the veil – both light and dark. He’s seen demons – and I’ve seen many of the same ones at the same time. He has seen a dark translated being – that I also saw, and he has recognized other dark people, or people who had dark beings with them.
He has also seen and pointed out Jesus Christ several times, he has told me he’s seen Moses and described him in detail (his description wasn’t exactly like Cecil B. Demille’s vision of Moses featuring an older Charleton Heston). My boy also sees and talks with angels on a fairly regular basis. He is also very open and willing to describe to me what he sees. Others have witnessed some of his encounters with angels; I wrote about one of those in my article titled Heavenly Beings in Babylon.
Some of his encounters are downright funny! One night as I was lying down with him to get him to bed, he started laughing hysterically – so hard that he could hardly breathe. This went on for at least five minutes before I could get him to tell me what he thought was so funny. He finally choked out between laughs, “The people are funny!!”
I asked, “What people?”
He said, “The people on the wall and the ceiling!”
I asked him, “What are they doing?”
He said, “They’re laying down on the wall and the ceiling! They’re funny!!” As this conversation went on, he continued laughing hysterically!
I asked him if the people were good or bad, and he said, “They’re good! The people are funny!!” Sometimes I’m not sure exactly what he’s seeing, but I would not be surprised that angels play with this sweet boy and just enjoy doing things to make him laugh. His laugh is PURE JOY!
Frankly, I’m quite certain that this boy sees the world in an utterly different light than the rest of the world does – and I mean “different light” very literally. I wrote in my last post HERE about the very limited view we have of the light spectrum; that because of our limited vision, our physical eyes only see one ten-billionth of the information available to us. I believe that the two primary elements limiting our vision most and fortifying these scales over our eyes are disbelief, and unbelief; false beliefs, and lack of belief, respectively. My son clings to neither of those.
As I said earlier, many others have witnessed some of his encounters with the other side of the veil. A group of about twenty of my good friends were given the opportunity to be part of an ordinance he performed – as he took everyone by surprise and did this without provocation. We had all gathered at the home of a member of the group to partake of the Lord’s Supper together. It was an amazing gathering. Although my son and the other kids played, and for the most part ignored the adults, some of us adults witnessed angels in the room as we prayed, and received the Sacrament, and communed with the Lord together.
The evening progressed and we realized that we still had bread but the wine that was blessed had run out. Someone brought out more wine and it was decided that we should bless this new wine. My friend knelt in front of the coffee table in the middle of the room and set up his tablet to read the sacramental prayer from. My son stepped between him and the table and adjusted the tablet and said “pray”. His vocabulary and enunciation were not as strong at that time as they are now, and everyone thought he was asking to play with the tablet. It became quickly apparent however, that he was indeed saying the word “pray” when he raised both of his hands above his head and proceeded to bless the sacramental wine with authority and confidence. I don’t think anyone in the room understood a word he said, but there were many tears as the spirit witnessed the efficacy of that blessing; nobody felt that it needed to be corrected or redone.
About a week ago, my boy and I sat outside watching the awesome thunderstorm that came rolling in above us. The clouds were big and dark and dynamic. I can’t remember what we were talking about, but the conversation turned to Jesus Christ and the angels. I asked him if he could see them now (a question I ask him occasionally – which occasionally receives a “yes” in response). This time, he responded by pointing to a particular spot in the sky, “The angels are up there on the clouds”.
I asked him, “Do you see Jesus anywhere?”
Pointing to the same place, he said, “Yes, He’s up there on the clouds with the angels.”
I asked what they were doing and he continued in a matter-of-fact tone, “They’re walking around on the clouds.”
Later that evening, I asked him if he could still see Jesus and the angels in the clouds. He moved so he could see that area of the sky he acknowledged earlier, pointed to the same spot, and said, “They’re up there walking on the clouds”.
I asked, “How many angels are there?”
He acted like he was trying to count them and couldn’t give me a clear number – which I understood to mean that there were too many to count.
And then they shall look for me, and, behold, I will come; and they shall see me in the clouds of heaven, clothed with power and great glory; with all the holy angels; and he that watches not for me shall be cut off. (D&C 45:44)
For I say unto you, that ye shall not see me henceforth and know that I am he of whom it is written by the prophets, until ye shall say: Blessed is he who cometh in the name of the Lord, in the clouds of heaven, and all the holy angels with him. Then understood his disciples that he should come again on the earth, after that he was glorified and crowned on the right hand of God. (JST Matthew 1:1)
A few nights ago when I lay down with him again to get him to bed, I asked, “Do you remember last week when you saw Jesus and the angels in the clouds?”
He got excited, smiled, and told me, “Yes!!”
I asked again, “What were they doing?”
He said, “They were walking around on the clouds”, and then he made a walking motion with his hand and fingers.
I asked, “What did they do after they walked around on the clouds?” He struggled with telling me and was explaining they were coming down to earth, but I understood that he was trying to say that they hadn’t yet but were going to come down to earth.
Out of sheer curiosity (well, ALL of these questions were out of sheer curiosity), I asked him, “What was Jesus wearing?”
He said (volunteering additional information), “He was wearing a red coat and had brown hair”.
And it shall be said: Who is this that cometh down from God in heaven with dyed garments; yea, from the regions which are not known, clothed in his glorious apparel, traveling in the greatness of his strength?
And he shall say: I am he who spake in righteousness, mighty to save. And the Lord shall be red in his apparel, and his garments like him that treadeth in the wine-vat. (D&C 133:46-48)
Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. (Isaiah 63:2-3)
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. (Revelation 19:11-13)
I truly have no idea how my son would come up with some of these details unless he KNOWS them with knowledge from God; he has no knowledge from an earthly source that the scriptures talk about the Savior coming with the angels in the clouds. He also doesn’t know that the scriptures tell of the prophecies that the Savior will come clothed in red.
I testify again, that we are experiencing these events spoken of in the scriptures unfolding before us. Prophets from around the world of all classes, faiths, genders, and ages are being awakened and are testifying of Him. We will recognize the words of God through them if we allow Him to speak to us by the means of communication He gave us to receive truth; that is by the Holy Ghost that is within each of us. Pray that the heavens will be opened TO YOU, and that God will help you to recognize these truths by the Holy Ghost!
I don’t feel I could declare anything less than that my son is a prophet of God; using the gift of seership, revealing truth, and prophesying of very significant events in the near future – that the prophets of the scriptures also testified of. I’m such a blessed mamma to have this amazing boy given to me in this life!
